Biography

Casey Patrick Cochran, Ph.D., Emory University. Lecturer. American Education, Classics of Educational Thought, History of American Education. Research: history and philosophy of education, home school movement, free school movement, Christian school movement. Taught for ten years in private, Christian schools in California, Virginia, and Hawaii. Came to Emory as a doctoral student in 1990. Graduate School of Arts & Sciences Fellow, Dean's Teaching Fellow, Coordinator of Emory University Partners in Education Program. Georgia Educational Research Association, Southern History of Education Society, History of Education Society. Published research on the radical educational ideology of John Holt. Currently Advisory Editor for The Home School Researcher (published by The National Home Education Research Institute), Director of the Home Study Support Ministry of Calvary Baptist Church of Smyrna, Georgia.
